Pricing

Our minimum fee is $250.00 US.

Our standard rates are as follows: $25.00 per page (defined as 250 words) rounded up to the nearest whole page. E.g.: 3150 words would be $325.00 US. References and text in tables / figures are removed for purposes of estimating.

Turnaround

Our standard turnaround is 4 working days. Although, we do not ordinarily work holidays or weekends, special arrangements may be made where necessary. We also offer rush service (2-day and 1-day) at higher rates. If you expect to submit a rush request, it is useful to give us notice in order to allow us to prepare our schedule accordingly.

Payment Methods

We accept international money orders, checks, secure online credit-card transactions, and bank transfers.

Submission Steps

    1. Kindly attach a clean copy (without highlighting, all text set to black, track changes turned off, all marked changes accepted) manuscript to an email, and send it to edit@pacificedit.com.

      Please include the following information in your email:

      A: Your complete name and your professional title.
      B: The complete name of your institution.
      C: Your department, if any.
      D: The complete billing address for your institution or yourself.
      E: Your phone and fax numbers
      F: The desired target journal for your publication (if known).

    2. Pacific Edit will review your paper and send you an estimate.
    3. Notify us by email to edit@pacificedit.com if you accept the estimate, and let us know how soon you require the edit returned.
    4. Once you have approved the estimate and a time frame is agreed upon, your edit will be scheduled on the following working day. Our standard turnaround is 4 working days, however we sometimes return manuscripts sooner. It is useful to have additional time, so if this is an option please inform us when you submit your request.
    5. We will return your manscript on schedule. Occasionally, if a manuscript is particularly large or complex, we may return it in two sections. This will allow you to begin examining the first section while the second is completed.
    6. You examine each suggestion carefully, and apply them. If you have questions, you may submit them via a Q & A (question and answer) process. Each question should cite the material in the text as instructed in the response letter.
    7. Once you have examined and made all suggested changes, and finished Q & A, your edit is complete.

After you have receieved your edit, you will receive an email invoice, and should then make payment by check, secure online credit card transaction, international money order or bank wire transfer. Payment information is included in the email invoice you will receive.

An Optional Step for Scientific Manuscripts

On some occasions the editor, due to their knowledge of the current scientific literature, an editor will be able to make additions to the paper in addition to improving the supplied text itself. If this occurs the editor will inform you of the suggested additions and or changes. It will be your decision to choose these suggestions or not, just as it is with all of the suggestions we make during any editing project. There will be an additional charge if you want the editor to do some research. You need to specifically make a request for these more extensive additions.

File Formats

Most of our work is done in Microsoft Word, either for Windows or for Macintosh.

Method

New text is in blue and edited or (removed text) is placed within blue brackets.
